8 June 2024 – Oslo, Norway – The Royal Norwegian Yacht Club (Kongelig Norsk Seilforening, KNS) and the Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) are happy to say hello from Oslo, Norway, where the 3rd edition of the ORC Double Handed World Championship will kick off today.

The Technical Committee team, under the meticulous leadership of ORC Chief Measurer Zoran Grubisa, will diligently check all 70 boats by Monday evening to ensure their absolute compliance.

The KNS marina is sizzling because the OSLO RACE WEEK will kick off with the GRUNDIG Women’s Regatta on June 8-9. There will be 24 female teams on the race course.

The program of the event:
Measurement and registration – June 8-10
Start: Oslo, Norway – Tuesday, June 11

The ORC DH Worlds fleet will race in parallel with the Færder Race, Norway’s most popular sailing event and one of the world’s largest overnight races, with one key difference: the DH World Championship race will start three days before the 77th edition of the Færder fleet’s voyage in the Oslofjord.

The championship will kick off in the vibrant city of Oslo and conclude in the historic coastal town of Tønsberg. The race, which will run up to 400 nautical miles, will be based on the legendary Skaw Racecourse, offering good opportunities for variations and shortening.
